Co-op Live's Rise from Early Hurdles to Hosting the Brits

The Co-op Live arena, the largest indoor venue in Europe, initially faced significant challenges with delays and cancellations following its approval in 2019. Setbacks included rescheduled opening shows and dissatisfied fans, leading to a rocky start. Despite these obstacles, the arena opened successfully in May 2024 with a performance by Elbow, restoring confidence among concert-goers. General Manager Guy Dunstan noted that the venue has transformed its reputation, now attracting major artists like Stevie Wonder and even hosting world-class events such as the Brit Awards. The arena also boosts the local economy, providing thousands of jobs and hosting numerous events since its opening.
